To apply for an Emergency Certificate (EC) in Australia, you’ll typically need:
Completed EC application form, signed by the applicant
Two recent passport-sized photographs (2×2 inches, white background)
Proof of identity – original or copy of the Indian passport
Valid Australian visa documents
Proof of emergency – such as a death certificate, medical report, or urgent legal notice
Confirmed flight itinerary or one-way travel plan
Police report – required if the passport is lost
Self-addressed prepaid envelope – for return of the EC document
Cover letter addressed to the Consulate explaining the nature of the emergency
